22.02.08 Polhemus announces the PATRIOT Wireless

Polhemus is proud to announce the PATRIOT WIRELESS. This system represents a whole new dimension in tracking technology, one that offers a totally wireless, full 6DOF solution with a small footprint and reasonable cost. The actual size of the electronics unit is only 6.75 inches L x 6.25 inches W x 1.75 inches H. The system has speed, ease-of-use via an intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) and is capable of tracking up to four independent markers over areas at a rate of 50 updates per second. Each self-contained marker is tracked in space by one or two receptors. PATRIOT WIRELESS comes standard with both a serial I/O RS-232 and a high speed USB 1.1 interface, at no extra cost.

21.02.08 EST signs reseller agreement with Sensics for the piSight panoramic HMD

EST will be representing Sensics, a manufacturer of panoramic Head Mounted Displays. The Sensics piSight(tm) HMD line is the only commercially-available product that has both panoramic field of view and high resolution. With its full peripheral vision, excellent visual detail and unmatched image quality, the piSight is used today in numerous applications including virtual prototyping, training, data mining and more.
