Over 50 Installations Worldwide!

ASL has been providing solutions for eye tracking in NMR scanners for over 5 years.

Long range optics module can be mounted up to 16 feet from the eye of the subject. The module is constructed of non ferrous metal and uses heavily shielded links to transfer the video image to a processing control unit outside the magnet room.

  • Mounted up to 16 feet away
  • Nothing mounted or installed inside the bore
  • No interference with magnet
  • Usually tracks right from normal stimulus mirror
  • Custom design for different MRI setups.

A typical set up may include a projector outside the room projecting through a wave guide.  The optics module is positioned to create an optical path to the eye, reflected off the stimulus display mirror inside the magnet bore.

Previously Adapted MRI Systems

  • Siemens
  • GE
  • Philips
  • Varian
  • Brucker
  • MRI Devices 8 channel head coil
  • Custom design for other setups available
  • Previously installed in magnets ranging from 1.5 to 4T

A typical optical path may come from the side of the stimulus display screen. It can also come from above, below or through a hole cut in the screen. The optimal path varies with each installation and is determined by a consultation between the customer and ASL.
