Rockwell Collins has developed a see-through, monochrome Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) that is both compact and versatile. The ProViewTM SL40 monocular was developed to pursue the rotary wing market.

The ProViewTM SL40 monocular HMD includes a corrector lens that allows non-distorted see-through viewing. The video source is a high resolution LCD with our exclusive combining optics for video display. Display drive and control electronics are included in the Display Driver Control Module, a separate enclosure borne off the head. Depending on the fielded system architecture, these electronics can be integrated with other system electronics such as the video switch and power module.
