The G5-T (single gyro) measures the movements of the spine using a single inertial gyroscope placed mid shoulder on the actor's torso. The head is still mechanical and the hip is always oriented forward. The gyro is used to detect ribcage motion. The exo-skeleton hardware comprises the arms and the neck and head units. The G5-TD (Double gyro) uses 2 gyroscopes and incorporates the second to measure the head. This is attached to a baseball cap. This eliminates the head and mid-shoulder mechanical gear altogether and so only the arms are mechanical. This unit is very streamlined and easy to use.
