A.R.T. Tracking PC

Basics

The tracking PC is a standard PC with an additional PCI board for the camera synchronization (SyncCard2) and a second network interface for camera communication. It is dedicated to running the DTrack software. Due to the realtime requirements of the DTrack software, no other software may run on the tracking PC.

Dependent on the end-customer requirements, three different cases can be ordered:

- Book-size,
- Full-size,
- 19" Rackmount.



Book-sized PC

The book-size PC is a compact and light-weight solution. With a weight of 8.4 kg and a size of only 38 x 33 x 9.5 cm (18.5lb, 15" x 133/4" x 33/4") it is best suited for mobile usage.

However, due to the small case size it is equipped with a less powerful CPU, which increases latency for larger systems. It is not recommended to use the booksize PC for systems with more than 6 cameras or for systems tracking many objects.


Full-Size PC

The full-size PC is the standard solution for the tracking PC. Equipped with a fast CPU it can support systems with up to 16 cameras and up to 20 tracked objects.


Rackmount PC

A 19" rackmount PC is available on a small surcharge. The standard rackmount PC comes in a 4U high case, other sizes are available only on request. The rackmount case is recommended only for use in server rooms.
