IS-1200 Configurations The IS-1200 product family is designed with a flexible architecture to support applications requiring high accuracy, low latency motion tracking. The details of the IS-1200 architecture are discussed in the paper titled "Generalized Architecture for Simultaneous Localization, Auto-Calibration, and Map-building". The VisTracker utilizes passive position reference targets (fiducials) in a distributed pattern throughout the tracking volume to provide stable 6-DOF tracking output. The development of the VisTracker and its performance are presented in the papers titled "VIS-Tracker: A Wearable Vision-Inertial Self-Tracker" and "Miniaturization, Calibration & Accuracy Evaluation of a Hybrid Self-Tracker". The core tracking software (SFServer) can run on either a Windows PC computer or optional Wearable Sensor Fusion Processor. SFServer interfaces to all platforms supported by the standard InterSense Libraries.
PRELIMINARY IS-1200 FlightTracker The FlightTracker, currently being developed under a US Army SBIR award, utilizes the flexible architecture of the IS-1200 with both outside-in and inside-out InertiaCams tracking active, pulse encoded LEDs. The placement of multiple InertiaCams provides a reference for motion as required in flight cockpits or moving vehicles. The multiple InertiaCams enable tracking accuracies of sub-millimeter in position and sub-mlliradian in orientation. Review the technical paper titled "FlightTracker: A Novel Optical/Inertial Tracker for Cockpit Enhanced Vision" for details about the FlightTracker architecture. A prototype IS-1200 VisTracker was demonstrated in the InterSense booth at I/ITSEC 2004. IS-1200 Features
