German Virtual Reality Seminar October 2009

WorldViz-EST Vizard Seminar

WorldViz in collaboration with EST is offering a 4 day Vizard seminar October 12-15. The seminar hours will be 9:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Thursday.

This seminar will be offered in the newly remodeled WorldViz demo facility near Nuremberg (Airport NUE), Bavaria, Germany.  The participation fee is € 1190 for academic participants and €1690 for commercial participants and includes 4 hotel nights, meals and transportation from/to Nuremberg airport or Nuremberg train station.

The goals of the seminar include:

  • Teach participants how to configure, set-up and run their own immersive virtual reality systems
  • Set-up and use a fully immersive VR system
  • Connect hardware peripherals, including tracking systems (WorldViz PPT X4, InterSense InertiaCube 2), head-mounted displays (NVIS nVisor SX, eMagin Z800) and other input devices (5DT data glove, Immersion CyberGlove, SensAble Phantom OMNI)
  • Drive all these devices with Vizard and integrate them into fully immersive applications
  • Basic introduction to scripting experiments/applications with the WorldViz Vizard VR software toolkit
  • How to create your own Vizard plug-in
  • Participants can bring their own experiment/application sketches, and WorldViz will outline implementation and help with initial scripting steps

This seminar will be an excellent opportunity to directly learn from experienced WorldViz staff, network with other European Vizard users, and to get an effective start on working with your own immersive virtual reality system. There is a limit of 12 participants, so please RSVP as soon as possible at info(at)est-kl(dot)com.
