1. Seeing Machines signs EST as Distributor:

Seeing Machines has developed four human performance measurement tools to assist in the study
of human behaviour.
faceLAB™ analyses head pose and eye behavior, in environments way beyond the laboratory.
With faceLAB's easy setup, you are free to get what you really need - the most naturalistic data from
your subject, experiment or application - in real-time. No wires, no magnets and no helmet.

For use on the road, in the air or in simulators, faceLAB™ provides a robust and flexible stereo-vision
solution for research into driver fatigue, distraction, human workload management systems and intelligent
vehicle applications. Day or night.

Human Performance Measurement - Real Time. Real World. Real Data. faceLAB™ - made to measure.
Really.

faceLAB 3.0
Released in May 2003, faceLAB 3.0 is the latest version of Seeing Machines gaze tracking technology. Features
of this latest release include:
- New automatic creation of front-only head models (Autoinit).
- Improved head tracking algorithms, allowing tracking in a greater range of head poses, e.g. Z axis rotations.
- Improved image intensity control - more responsive, less overshoot.
- A variety of command line options reducing the time needed to get your faceLAB™ session started.
- Simultaneous logging of real-time and accurate data to the network.
- A choice between real-time and accurate display modes.
- A "Snap-to-Gaze" feature for quick fine-tuning of world model construction.
- A Head-Pose prediction slider for logging the anticipated head pose for real-time applications.
- Numerous user interface improvements.
- Improved automatic image intensity algorithm improves tracking in fluctuating lighting conditions.
- Compatible with windows XP - allowing networked control of faceLAB™ through remote desktop.

2. Ascension Technologies ReActor 2 released:

Ascension Technology released the ReActor 2 (R2), an advanced motion capture system employing digital, active-optical
technology. R2 is the next generation of Ascension’s successful ReActor tracking system which introduced wireless, clean,
lightweight infrared active-optical tracking to the mocap market.
R2’s 544 digital detectors are embedded in a 12-bar modular frame for complete tracking coverage. As with its predecessor,
R2 offers Instant Marker Recognition to eliminate nearly all occlusion drop-outs. Robust, new algorithms improve accuracy,
reduce noise and provide consistently clean data throughout the capture space.
Unlike other motion capture systems in which frequent calibrations and breakdowns are the norm, R2’s rugged, one-piece
frame eliminates tripod alignment headaches and the need for camera calibration. Once the system is set up, data capture
can begin immediately. R2’s FusionCore software provides complete diagnostics and real-time visualization of system
parameters.
To guarantee performance, each R2 installation is done by Ascension technicians who set up the system, train users,
and integrate the R2’s outputs with users’ software.

3. Now avaliable from EST: Pro Systems ProView 3D series:

The ProView 3D series is the solution for all your real-time 3D graphics and video presentation. The unit is a self-contained system,
that functions as an out-of-the-box solution.

Any active stereo source connected to the ProView is automatically converted into a passive 3D presentation. With low-cost
polarized glasses a medium to large number of people can experience the true value of stereographic pictures.

The ProView 3D series use polarized filters and glasses. A special designed on-board interface ensures the conversion of one active
stereo signal into a passive stereo presentation. Two high performance single chip DLP projectors are integrated to provide crystal
clear images. Some application areas are: medical scans, offshore drilling analysis, Architecture, product design en presentation,
and 3D entertainment.

The ProView is available in different type to cater to your specific needs:

4. New products: 3rdTech DeltaSphere:

Performance, precision, and portability in a compact design-the DeltaSphere-3000 breaks new ground in 3D scanning
and scene reconstruction. Based on research from the Computer Science Department of the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill, the DeltaSphere-3000 uses a time-of-flight, modulated beam laser rangefinder to rapidly produce panoramic,
accurate 3D point sets. These data sets can be combined with color information (captured with the optional, integrated,
high-resolution digital color camera) to produce extraordinarily detailed and accurate 3D scenes.

Features:

- Compact, self-contained, portable system
- Computer controlled, high-precision, long-range, laser scanning from 0 to 40ft
- Automatic 150°elevation by 360° azimuth scanning with no manual intervention
- High speed capture - complete scenes ranging from 10 - 30 minutes; 25,000 samples/second
- Built-in Ethernet connectivity for communication with your PC or laptop
- Optional, integrated digital color camera with wide FOV for full color scenes
