b. ASL offers Laptop with Mobile Eye

The Mobile Eye is a truly tetherless eyetracking system for use when total freedom of movement is required and video with overlayed cursor is the desired output. This system is designed to be easily worn by an active subject. The eye tracking optics are extremely lightweight and unobtrusive and the recording device is small enough to be worn on a belt. To accommodate the mobility of the System ASL now offers a Laptop as an optional Add On to the Mobile Eye.

d. Handshake ProSense v.2.2 available

The new release of ProSense includes the following features:Handshake proSENSE Standard* Added a new block "HVR UI" that can be found in the "Extra" library. This block allows the user to create a XUL based user interface (UI) that can be used to change parameters in a running executable generated by proSENSE. The use of the UI allows the target executable to be changed without the need of MATLAB/Simulink.* A new option has been added to the proSENSE option in RTW that allows the developer to generate a file that holds information of all blocks in the Simulink diagram which have parameters that can be changeable at target application startup (e.g. the IP address of "Receive" block). A program called hvrConfigTarget can then be used to edit this file so that the application does not need to be rebuilt in order to use the new parameters. This facilitate the target executable to run on different computers without MATLAB/Simulink.

* Furthermore, hvrZipApplication script will zip up the files generated from the changeable parameters option.

* Certified for use with The MathWorks Release 2006b. Since Real-Time Workshop in MATLAB R2006b supports Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition, proSENSE can also be used with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Professional Edition under MATLAB R2006b.

* The OmniDevice block found under Devices SensAble has been updated to include an output for the Yaw, Pitch and Roll angles of the stylus.

* A new output port to HVR World has been added called CollisionTagID. This 3x1 vector indicates which objects in the virtual world are being touched.

* Warning messages are displayed if you try to open a read-only wrl file within HVR World.

* Added an extra option to HVR World that enables hvrSink to run in full screen mode and under different screen resolutions.

* Flags used to specify how hvrSink runs from the DOS command prompt have been changed to accomodate for full screen mode and rendering in wireframe mode.

* Within HVR World you can now directly associate 3D objects with your device. This also allows you to have one device touch another device when working in dual mode.

* All demos have been moved from toolboxproSENSEproSENSEdemos to work proSENSEdemos to comply with MATLAB 2006 standard.
