Targets & Markers

On the next pages you will find more information about the marker and targets A.R.T. provides.

Here a short summary of the main differences:

• Active markers are infrared light emitting elements, mostly LEDs. Due to their flexibility, active markers are ideal for custom targets and customized solutions.
• Passive markers are retroreflective, i.e. they reflect the incoming IR radiation into the direction of the incoming light.

Targets consists of several markers (minimum 4), and will give the 6DOF (degrees of freedom). In addition to the standard targets A.R.T. offers several construction sets for your own targets and customised developments.
